ALA Webinar - Re-imagining the post-Covid law firm

The legal marketplace was already undergoing significant disruption, and then the onset of COVID-19 instantly and perhaps permanently changed how law firms operate. Across the world law firm leaders are revisiting what were previously considered sacrosanct operating procedures. In this session we'll review some of these procedures and discuss how law firm structure, real estate, operations, facilities, staffing, and strategy might change. The presenter, Tim Corcoran, is a former CEO and regular ALA contributor, with a global practice. He'll draw on insights from around the world, from firms big and small. to inform this discussion. Attendees are strongly encouraged to submit questions and topic ideas in advance or during the discussion, to help make it as relevant and timely as possible.

Learning objectives:

  • Review key law firm challenges and opportunities brought about by COVID-19

  • Discuss some of the changes that law firm leaders are exploring, and why

  • Prepare attendees to spearhead or participate in these discussions in their own firms
